Tennis on artificial turf are considered as an elegant sport. ITF (International Tennis Federation) has categorized artificial turf court as soft court.

 

Strict requirement and test on surface pace rating (speed), slip resistance, traction coefficient, shock absorption, porosity and durability are absolutely important.

 

The ITF determines the speed of the surface and classifies this as slow, medium or fast. This classification is important in connection with the further international standardisation of equipment used in tennis.
